Descon Construction Corp., (DCC VN), a builder and real estate developer, increased 400 dong, or 2.9%, to close at 14,200 after reporting that net profit rose 37 percent to 4.5 billion dong in the first six months, ended June 30.
KinhDo Corp., (KDC VN), a producer of baked goods and candy, rallied 2,500 dong, or 3%, to 86,500, the highest close since June 4. The Ho Chi Minh City-based company will pay its shareholders a dividend of 900 dong per share August 27, it said in a statement posted on the stock exchange's Web site yesterday after the market closed.
Chuong Duong Beverages Joint-Stock Co., (SCD VN), a soft drinks producer, gained 600 dong, or 2.7%, to 23,200. Sabeco 1 Investment Fund has increased its holding in the company to 8.95% from 1.51% by buying 632,430 shares last week, according to a statement posted on the stock exchange's Web site late yesterday.
