After a slight fall in previous session, the second trading session of October rallied when the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HOSE)'s index regained 5.84 points or 1.29% to 460.25 pts with the total matching order trades of over 14.6 million shares worth 528 billion dong, down about 25% in both volume and value from last session.
Among 160 share codes and four fund certificates being listed on the southern bourse, the stock market witnessed 123 shares increasing with 48 reaching the ceiling price, 15 others stood still at the comparative price and remaining 26 decreasing with three falling to the floor price.
There was no share code out of top ten market largest capitalisation shares reaching the ceiling price. Three shares increased 1,000 dong namely DPM of PetroVietnam Fertiliser Chemicals Co to 59,000 dong per share, SSI of Saigon Securities JSC to 53,500 dong and VPL of Vinpearl JSC to 110,000 dong per share. FPT of FPT Group and VIC of Vincom added 2,000 dong to 95,000 dong and 99,000 dong per share, PPC of Pha Lai Thermo Power Co up 100 dong to 31,900 dong, STB of Sacombank leaped 900 to 24,900 dong per share.
Meanwhile, VNM of Vinamilk lost 500 dong to 94,500 dong and PVD of PV Drilling slipped 4,000 dong to 93,000 dong per share together with others such as NKD of North Kinh Do, NTL of Tu Liem Housing Development JSC, HDC of Hodeco, ANV of Nam Viet and VHC of Vinh Hoan.
STB stood at the first place in trading volume with 1,83 million shares, VTO followed with 920,000, HPG and SSI 780,000, DPM with 570,000 and PVD with 520,000 shares being traded.
Influenced from previous session, the Hanoi Securities Trading Centre (HaSTC) today October 2 continued increasing impetus of last session as the HaSTC Index jumped 3.26 points or 2.18% to 152.96 pts with the total market trades of 10,512,500 shares valued at over 352 billion dong.
Amongst 153 listed shares on the northern bourse, the stock market recorded 24 shares decreasing, five stood still at the reference price namely HCC, PGS, SDS, SJM and VC3, two with no trades namely HSC and SPP and remaining 122 increasing.
YSC showed the strongest decline when losing 2,200 dong, DAC—1,700, NGC—1,400, HCT—1,300 and C92 and TPP down 1,200 dong per share.
DTC performed the biggest increase when adding 7,500 dong, MIC up 4,300, SD5 jumped 3,000 dong, CCM, KBC and VSP bounced 2,800 dong and HLY and VMC bounded 2,600 dong per share.
KLS kept the first place in terms of trading volume with 1,321,900 shares, followed by ACB with 800,300 shares, PVS with 723,800, DBC with 450,600 and PVI with 409,100 shares being changed hands.
