VN Index loses 600 point threshold October 27

VNStockNews.com - Ending the trading session today October 27, both VN Index and HNX Index saw strong falls and VN Index officially lost the threshold of 600 points.

Particularly, the VN Index today slipped 12.56 points or 2.06 percent to 596.78 pts, marking the third consecutive decline.

The liquidity increased when the total matching order trade reached 91.49 million shares worth 4.19 trillion dong, up 9.2 percent in volume and 5.1 percent in value day-on-day.

According to the statistic, amongst 184 share codes and four fund certificates on the southern bourse, the market witnessed 17 gainers, 156 losers and 11 remaining shares remained unchanged at the comparative price.

Hochiminh Stock Exchange (STC) today officially welcomed over 88 million shares of Vietnam Export Import Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Eximbank) to trade on the southern bourse with the share code of EIB. The comparative price for the first trading session was 28,000 dong/share with the trading band of +/-20 percent against the comparative price.

After the first trading session, EIB-coded shares gained 1,000 dong to 29,000 dong/share with the total trading volume of 14 million shares.

A series of large cap share codes recorded strong decline such as SSI lost 2,000 dong to 98,000 dong/share, STB slipped 700 dong to 32,100 dong, VCB down 2,000 dong to 53,000, CTG tumbled 700 dong to 35,800, PVF dropped 1,000 dong to 43,200 dong, and HPG plunged 1,500 dong to 79,500 dong per share.

In terms of trading volume EIB led that market with over 14 million shares, and followed by STB with over 6.1 million, SSI over 4.1 million, VFMVF1 over 3.1 million, REE over 2.9 million, SAM over 2.5 million and ITA and CII over 2.3 million shares being traded.

The HNX Index today October 27 continued falling another 5.33 points or 2.54 percent to end at 204.44 pts with the total market trade of over 41.71 million shares valued at nearly 1.9 trillion dong.

Some big gainers were RCL, S99, BKC, BPC, CTM, HCT, HEV, ILC, NLC, MKV, SNG, TKU, VE1, VHL, VTL and XMC.

KLS today reached the biggest trading volume with nearly four million shares and then VCG with nearly 3.9 million, SHB nearly 3.6 million, ACB nearly 3.4 million, DBC nearly 1.3 million KBC nearly 1.5 million and SHS with nearly 1.4 million shares being changed hands.
