VNStockNews.com - SSI Fund Management Co Ltd (SSIAM) and Daiwa SMBC today (November 25) are to sign the agreement to establish DSCAP-SSIAM Vietnam Growth Investment Fund LLC (DSCAP-SSIAM) in Cayman Islands to invest in Vietnam's unlisted firms with high growth potential.
The size of DSCAP-SSIAM is estimated at 5-10 billion yen ($50-100 million) at the fund closing day of next June. DSCAP-SSIAM plans to officially start operation in Vietnam from December 2009 with the initial disbursement capital of $10 million.
SSIAM is the member company of SSI securities broker.
Daiwa SMBC Capital is Japan's leading investment company under Daiwa Securities Group Inc and Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group. DSCAP is experienced in investing in over 3,000 enterprises with total investment capital of approximately $4.5 billion.
