Top ten securities companies account over 51pct brokerage market share on HOSE

VNStockNews.com - Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HOSE) has reported in 2009, 10 leading securities companies on brokerage market shares accounted for 51.26 percent trading value therefore over 48 percent remaining market share held by other securities brokers.

Amongst three leading securities brokers on share brokerage market share in 2009, Thang Long Securities Joint Stock Co led the market with 9.13 percent and followed by Saigon Securities Inc (SSI) with 8.26 percent and SBS of Saigon Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Sacombank)'s Securities Co with 7.77 percent. These three companies accounted for 25.16 percent market share on securities brokerage of the southern bourse.

Among top ten securities brokers holding biggest market share, Vietnam International Securities Joint Stock Co (VIS) holds the lowest market share with 2.59 percent.

According to State Securities Commission (SSC)'s report, till October 2009, total brokerage fee reached over 1.95 trillion dong. The total number of securities companies posting losses was over 20 companies while the figure was 62 securities brokers in 2008.
