Both floors start new month by another increase on Jan 1

VNStockNews.com - Ending the first trading session of February, both floors continued upward tendency but liquidity remained low.

Particularly, the index of Hochiminh Stock Exchange (HOSE) gained another 4.99 points or 1.04 percent to end at 486.95 pts. The transaction remained gloomy when the liquidity decreased against previous session. Total trading volume reached 20.69 million shares worth 836 billion dong, down 14.4 percent in volume and 12.1 percent in value in comparison with previous session.

The southern bourse today welcomed a new share code namely KDH of Khang Dien Housing Trading and Investment Joint Stock Co with 33.2 million shares.

The comparative price for the first trading session of KDH-coded share was 40,000 dong per share with the trading band of +/-20 percent.

After the trading session, KDH-coded share gained 8,000 dong to 48,000 dong per share with 26,580 shares being traded.
According to the statistic, of total 211 share codes and fund certificates on the southern bourse, the market saw 114 share codes increased with 53 others decreased and 44 remaining shares stood still at the comparative price.

The market recorded many gainers such as STB +100 dong to 22,300 dong, SSI +1,000 to 83,500, HPG +2,500 to 62,500, BVH +500 to 36,000, HAG +1,000 to 80,000, VNM +3,500 to 81,000 dong per share. Meanwhile, bank shares like VCB and CTG slipped 200 dong and 100 dong per share and others stood still at the comparative price including EIB, KBC, PVF, DPM and VIC.

In terms of trading volume, EIB reached the biggest trading volume with over one million shares and followed by TPC with 998,000, TIC 946,000, SAM 922,000, STB 848,000 and GMD with 736,000 shares being traded.

Similarly, the HNX Index also gained another 0.88 points or 0.55 percent to 161.23 pts with the total market trade of 13.10 million shares worth over 420 billion dong, falling over 19 percent in both volume and value against previous session.
