VinaCapital Will not Cash in Listed Equities: Managing Director

VNStockNews.com - Investments in listed shares currently accounted only 5% of VinaCapital’s portfolio and the fund management company has no plan to further cash in listed shares, Andy Ho, Managing Director and Head of Investment Division of Vinacapital told.

VinaCapital Investment Management Ltd (VinaCapital) focused on investing in unlisted equities, Ho added, saying that the firm would continue to disburse $10-40 million/project in those unlisted firms operating in healthcare, education, food, transportation and agriculture.

VinaCapital also wanted to mobilize more funds to purchase bonds in Vietnam and make investments in real estate, mostly in medium housing segment. VinaCapital in the past three years did not invest in office buildings but land only, Ho said, explaining that the objective of the company was to enhance its VinaLiving brand name.

The firm currently expanded its operation in Cambodia with the establishment of Victory Capital Management Inc. to manage its investment portfolios in this market.
