VNStockNews.com - Minister of Finance Vuong Dinh Hue announced yesterday a plan to restructure poor-performing securities companies on the local market.
The proposal aims to improve the performance of securities firms by enhancing their financial capacity as well as corporate and risk management capability.
Under the plan, securities companies will be arranged into three categories according to their level of risk. The State Securities Commission will then impose appropriate measures on companies in each group.
Securities firms will also be rated regularly in line with international practices.
Minister Hue said the plan is intended to gradually reduce the number of securities companies and will not cause turmoil on the securities market and in the national economy.
